When you’re looking for a health or fitness tool that’s going to help you achieve your goals, it’s important to know what the heck it all does!
There’s article after article featuring the latest activity tracker or some gadget that monitors lord knows what, but sometimes you may just need something with a little less…”tech.”

After this dvd, you’ll feel ready to tackle any beginning yoga class with confidence and you’ll be reaching your health and fitness goals in no time!
Ok, so this fork doesn’t let you just sit there while it feeds you, but it does help you keep tabs on your eating habits. Not only does the HAPI Fork alert you (by lighting up and softly vibrating) to slow your roll if you are eating too fast, but it also pairs up with your smart phone to record when you eat and how you go about it. Holy fork, that’s cool.
Pump up your daily walk by getting yourself a pair of BungyPump Fitness Walking Poles! What was originally used in Sweden as a training method for cross country skiers in their off season, is now available to peeps around the globe. The cool thing about these puppies is they provide anywhere from 8 to 13 pounds of resistance (you have the option when you order) every time you push the pole into the ground, working your arms as well as your core. By turning the low impact exercise into an almost full body workout, it can help you burn up to 77% more calories than walking alone. How major is that?
Buh bye boring water! When you’re supposed to down a 1/2 gallon of the stuff everyday (and it’s even more when you exercise), it can become quite a chore, especially if you’re not crazy about it to begin with! So I salute the brain that came up with this piece of genius called the Water Infuser Bottle! The bottle contains a basket where you can fill it with berries, citrus, cucumber or anything that strikes your fancy! I love the basket idea because the fruit isn’t able to get clogged when you take a sip. Rest easy knowing that it’s BPA-free and that the bottle won’t shatter on you if you drop it. It’s also dishwasher safe as long as you stick it on the top shelf and it’s stain as well as odor resistant. Pretty sweet if you ask me.
Move over fanny pack, here comes the Flip Belt! Whether you’re hiking, biking or walking, you will love wearing this around your waist. This cool contraption sits flat against your body so there’s no bulk or bounce when you move. All you do is stick your phone, credit card, cash, etc. in the pockets and then flip the openings inward toward your body. It’s machine washable, it comes in sizes extra small to extra large and the Flip Belt has a range of awesome colors to choose from.
If you are watching what you’re eating, but don’t want to take the time to measure out your portions, then Elegant Portions dinnerware was made for you! These dishes do the measuring for you with subtle lines on plates, bowls as well as wine glasses showing you just how much you should have. They have different lines for several serving sizes so it helps you stay on track no matter what you’re eating or drinking. On top of everything else, they’re dishwasher and microwave safe (except for the plastic lids). So smart!
30 Day Fitness Challenge: Week 2
Week two can be one of the most difficult weeks to get through. Motivation from the first week might be starting to fade a tad and maybe you feel like you haven’t quite established a routine as of yet. But hang in there! When week three rolls around, new habits will be starting to form and it’ll get easier.
Remember it takes about 21 days to form a new habit.
I was sick during the weekend and it spilled over into the week, so I have not been too “up” for the challenge. However, I will not let that keep me from jumping back into the saddle mid-week. After all, I have my workout buddies to answer to!
